The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region generously donated $100,000 to the college’s campaign to build the Applied Technology Education Center (ATEC). CEO John Eberle announced the gift along with Officer in Charge Louis Coplin and Applied Technologies Department Chair Dr. Chris McNally during an automotive technology class taught by Professor Dan Benoit on October 9.

ATEC will be a new, state-of-the-art $85 million, 130,000-square-foot facility, located on the college’s main campus in Troy. Equipped with the most modern tools and machinery, it will allow the college to train more graduates for in-demand careers in applied technology and skilled trades fields such as building systems, automotive and transportation technology, renewable energy and semiconductor manufacturing.
